No Objections: Keeping it Real
I have posted in the past (here) and (here) about the Open Door Art Studio and wanted to share their current exhibit, No Objections, because the title seems a good one for me right now.
The past week or so has been completely out of control in terms of being so busy. I usually hate it when people talk about being "busy" because it kind of seems lame, but I kind of feel like I am losing my mind.
My busy-ness is a good thing: I have a job, a wonderful pair of kids, I couldn't be more excited about my quilting and the possibilities there, my wonderful mom is here visiting. It just doesn't always feel good.
As I face the craziness of life and the frustrations of being over-"busy", I have to remind myself: "no Objections". I am blessed in every way possible (except maybe for good hair) and have no room to complain.
I was pretty irritated with myself last night, though, when I "lost" a bag full of crickets I bought for my son's lizard and frog. Really, that should be a wake-up call to slow down a bit, don't you think?
I hope it doesn't seem really selfish to turn a post about fabulous artwork into something about me. Just wanted to share my thoughts for the day. I hope you have enjoyed the little window into this great gallery. For more information, please visit Open Door Art Studio.
have a sloooooow week. and hopefully get some sewing in....(I did buy more crickets today so the pets won't starve!)
